The OrthoLine MPL plates follow the same anatomic engineering principles as the Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) Plating System, with additional features to address medial patellar luxation. The MPL plate includes a step to offset the fragment from the long bone of the tibia, creating medial tibial plateau translation as well as a locking screw distal to the cut to protect the osteotomy. The plates are also designed with proximal and distal locking holes to reduce prominence under the skin. Additionally, proximal screw holes follow specific trajectories within the proximal fragment.

The distal end has limited bone contact and includes two K-wire holes to aid in positioning. The plates are contoured to the bone and marked with a laser line to indicate optimal positioning and step location. The plates also include a proximal suture hole to enable InternalBrace™ repair for additional rotational stability. Holes on the cranial aspect of the plate's distal end enable soft-tissue closure with VetSuture™ suture.

The OrthoLine MPL plating system was created by veterinarians for veterinarians to help make the procedure more reproducible and support happier, healthier patients.

Sizes include 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.4 mm, 2.7 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.5 mm small, 3.5 mm standard, and 3.5 mm broad plates, all in left and right options.
